Carl Sagan’s message for all humanity

See that little blue dot in the picture above? That little speck that is brighter than all the other little specks in the picture. That’s Earth, our home world.
At a distance of 6.4 billion km (4 billion miles) from Earth, the Voyager 1 spacecraft took this picture of Earth in February 1990. Four years later, Carl Sagan wrote about the picture in the book, “Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space”. His narration of an excerpt from the book is a message that everyone on Earth needs to hear. What is this message? The best word that I can come up with is: Hope.
